Reagan's Friend Dean Lesher Connected Sharyn Bovat to San Francisco Prominent/Controversial Gay Political Strategist Ray Sloan.

Ronald Reagan Made a
Bold Statement to Support Gay Rights When He Came Out Against the Briggs Amendment in 1978,

History...Connecting Sharyn Bovat to Reagan's Friend Dean Lesher to SF Political Elite.

Ray Sloan is a man was friends with Dan White: White the man the murdered Harvey Milk.  The story is really complicated and maybe that is WHY Ray does not want to had over the archieves to the historical society?

Dianne Feinstein would understand what I'm saying.

Anyway:  I got to know Ray in the late 80's early 90's.

Ray Sloan is/was a REPUBLICAN and Dean Lesher the publisher of the Contra Costa times respected his opinion.  Several times I met with Ray at secret meetings to learn about strategy techniques and to get the "lay of the land" Ray KNEW the "landscape".

Sometimes we'd spend time at Steve Weirs house  (he was Mayor of Concord) house I'd get to watch cartoons  while he and Ray had "private talks."   Huh,,,,,

I don't blog about politicians that have NOT come out of the closet BUT Steve Weir did and he's in a happy relationship,  To Steve Weir.  I'm happy for you.
I'll be calling to ask for HELP to get the word out about NISSAN discrimination against gays.

Over 30 Years Later Tennessee State Legislature Passes
a "Don't Say Gay Bill" and the State Allows for Bullying to Happen.  I've experienced the bullying in Tennessee & I'm just a "perceived" gay.  Corrupt people told people in the community I was gay so I would be harassed.

I'm fighting back:   www.RedStateGay.com

1978
On January 8, Harvey Milk makes national news when he is sworn in as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Running against 16 other candidates, he wins the election by 30 percent. Milk begins his term by sponsoring a civil rights bill that outlaws sexual orientation discrimination. Only one supervisor votes against it and Mayor Moscone signs it into law.

Briggs Initiative, a proposal to fire any teacher or school employee who publicly supports gay rights. Harvey Milk campaigns against the bill and attends every event hosted by Briggs. In the summer, attendance greatly increases at Gay Pride marches in San Francisco and Los Angeles, partly in response to Briggs. President Jimmy Carter, former Governor Ronald Reagan, and Governor Jerry Brown speak out against the proposition.

On November 7, 1978 voters reject the proposition by more than a million votes.
