I wish both of these RINO's would retire so a real rock-ribbed, God-fearing conservative like Ron Ramsey can run! But my dream candidate would be Phil Valentine! It would leave a chasm on the air-waves but it would be awesome to have this brilliant force of a man as a senator!

>>Alexander would really hate it if some tea party nutjob replaced him in the Senate.<<

Screw you, Woods. No one is more of a "nut job" than your fellow Dim liberals. Not to mention, how the hell do YOU know what Alexander would or would hate?

Ron Ramsey is an idiot & I voted for him in the primary.

Valentine would be a helluva Senate candidate though.

>>one with genuine Democratic values, name recognition and money.<<

No, you mean LIBERAL values, not TN Dim values. TN voters soundly reject your liberalism. Just ask Jim Sasser, Al Gore & Harold Ford, Jr.

All had the three you describe & ALL were roundly REJECTED by TN voters, including those who used to vote Dim candidates.

Ashley Judd? Does this daydreamer not know she's married, nor would she
get a thousands votes statewide. The real challenge to Lamar, and lord only
knows we need a good one, is to find a solid well meaning real Republican to
run against him in the Primary. Announced early so that Lamar can't soak up
all the donations which he's very good at. Ever seen his office, it's corny as hell.

Although a critic of Sen. Alexander, I digress to say as Gov. he got one good bill
through that gave excellent teachers a path to extra certification and a bit higher
pay. That, of course, was fought mightily by the Teachers Union, and was very
quickly thrown out under Ned Ray's administration. Again, with the help of TEA.

Lamar's NOT running again. The GOP is mad at him for making his colleagues vote to fund the NISSAN Leaf. He's not getting money from PAC's and Marsha Blackburn is being "prepped" to replace him. Marsha has been sounding less like a "whack job" and more like a politician. Still I wonder if she voted for the NISSAN Leaf funding? The car will NOT create the jobs promised and the collateral is a taxpayer backed IDB bond. The citizens of Rutherford County will have BIG tax increases if the car is a failure.... the 2 billion bond that's would have to be exorcised means a 10% tax increase... UNLESS the Treasury bank "writes off the loan" that was made to a foreign company.. Why did the NISSAN not use a regular financial institution... It seems like "none" of them wanted to fund the Leaf.... huh Looks like the NISSAN Leaf is a "bad bet" Thanks Lamar. Last time I was in DC someone called Governor Haslam a "one termer" ... wonder why?
